About Making River Cane Flutes

Sammy Tedder and guitarist, Mike Andrews will give a benefit concert for Birdsong Nature Center featuring music from their recently released Grooves, Drives and Ballads album and more. Bring your favorite folding chair or blanket and beverages for this outdoor concert. Tally Mac Shack food truck will be there with their specialty gourmet mac and cheeses.

January 13, 2019 at 4pm - INconcert Series at the Historic Trinity Episcopal Church in Apalachicola, Florida

Sammy will be the featured artist for this first of the 2019 INconcert Series season featuring music from his Apalachicola River album, Living Waters album, Big Cypress Swamp album, Transitions album and his recently released Grooves, Drives and Ballads album. He will be playing his vintage saxophones and cane flutes accompanied by his ethereal soundtracks and the ambient nature sounds of Florida.

There will be a reception and refreshments in the recreation hall immediately after the concert.

$10 donation at the door

November 10, 2018 at 10am - Franklin County Historical Society

Sammy will give a presentaion called Where Ethnobotany and Ethnomusicology Meet, demonstrating how Native Americans used various plant materials to make musical instruments and other utilitarian objects.
